How long does a 90-day Vietnam e-visa take, and what start date should I choose?

For a flight on 23 September, the recommended e-visa start date was 23 September or an earlier date. Your visa needs to be valid on the day you arrive.

Several recent 90-day e-visa applications were approved in 4 working days. Treat this as a processing-time guide rather than a guarantee.

In another case, approval took 8 days. The traveler entered on a 45-day entry stamp, and the e-visa was approved about 15 minutes later, so it is safer not to rely solely on a 4–5 day timeline.
