Is the Baron hotel in Egypt really worth its 5-star rating and price?

TL;DR
Reviews are mixed: at a lower price the stay feels fine, but at premium prices (~$2000+ for two) guests start noticing worn rooms, repetitive food, and service closer to 3-4 stars than the advertised 5.
Regarding building 6 rooms at the Baron: guests report a fried-food smell on floors 4 and 5 from room 13 onward. The 3rd floor reportedly has no such smell — worth requesting a specific floor/room when booking.
Reviews of the Baron hotel also mention dust, dirt and worn-out rooms — it doesn't really feel like a true 5-star, more like 4*. Could depend on the specific room or the guest's mood.
Paid around $2000 for two for 9 nights (building 6): rooms were run-down, food repetitive, fruit selection (melon, plum) mediocre. Sea rated 5/5, service 3/5. At a lower price it would've been fine, but at $2000 the price doesn't match the quality — wouldn't return at that price point.
A hotel in the Madinat area is cheaper than other options there and is marketed as 5-star, so guests go in expecting that rating even though actual quality may not fully match.
