What food variety can you expect at all-inclusive hotels in Egypt?

A terrace station serves hot dogs, burgers, shawarma, pizza, pancakes, and waffles separately from the main buffet. Ice cream is available near the beach — ask the staff member at the pancake/waffle station. A refrigerator nearby holds vegetables, fruits, and some sauces.

Pasta is made to order with a choice of add-ins. Rice and couscous are always available. Desserts vary in flavor rather than all tasting the same (noted as better than typical Egyptian all-inclusives), and there is a wide selection of pastries. Apples, mandarins, and melon are always present; watermelon appears some days but not others.

Turkey and octopus with vegetables also appear on the menu (not daily). The grilled meat selection includes pork and a lula-kebab-style dish in addition to the usual options. Cheese is salty, similar to brined white cheese (feta-style). Cold cuts and cheese are otherwise typical for Egyptian hotels.

A staff member at a high-end 4-star hotel (priced above many 5-stars) explains: lunch always includes chicken, beef, and fish, but the cooking method rotates daily — today braised beef, grilled chicken, baked fish; tomorrow grilled beef, fried fish, deep-fried chicken. Guests sometimes complain about repetitiveness, but rarely specify what they'd actually want instead.

Breakfast includes fresh juices — mango and guava alternate daily. Coffee machines are available in the restaurant in the morning and evening, and on the beach all day long. The property has at least two pools, no water slides.

The regular menu includes beef (notably tender, served with vegetables), lamb, chicken, fish, plus shrimp and squid in sauce — though seafood doesn't appear every day. Travelers with children note the selection works well for family stays.
