Aquapark near hotels in Hurghada — prices and what to expect

In one recent report, a group of six including a 7-year-old entered the grounds of Grand Aquapark for free through a side entrance. This is an isolated experience rather than a confirmed admission policy, so visitors should not count on free entry.

Visitor reports suggest that a 9-year-old who is 136 cm tall is generally allowed on the adult slides. The red slide may have stricter checks, however: children aged 9–12 have reportedly sometimes been refused, apparently depending on build as well as height.

One recent report from the upper-pool area says that some loungers were already covered with towels and many of the remaining ones were broken. If a comfortable poolside spot matters, arrive in the morning and check the condition of available loungers straight away.

According to a family report, lifeguards at the Albatros water park closely supervise children on the slides and make sure an adult is waiting at the bottom of the appropriate ride. This can be a plus for families with young children.

A recent negative report described Albatros as crowded, with children finding the pools cramped and noticing hair in the water. If quiet, very clean pools are a priority, it is worth checking current visitor numbers before going.

According to visitors citing the aquapark's official Instagram group, the park usually operates until 18:00, but twice a week it stays open until 23:00.

Some of the larger slides have a strict height requirement: children under about 130 cm are not allowed, and staff may check height right before the ride. So younger kids can enter the park, but may still be barred from the big slides.

Reports describe the waterpark as more family-oriented than extreme: don’t expect very scary slides. Younger school-age children usually get enough from both the kids’ area and the main slide selection, but if you want truly high-adrenaline rides, a larger waterpark may be a better fit.

The aquapark has a dedicated toddler zone with small slides, and the main park offers double rubber ring rides for parents and young children together. Larger slides are suited for older kids. There is no minimum age for entry.

The aquapark is located near the 3 Mirette area of Hurghada, which is a long walk — too far for young children on foot. It's best to take a taxi or arranged transfer.

Albatros Aqua Park in Hurghada is open to outside visitors, not just hotel guests. Entry costs $45 per adult and $22 per child. Guests from nearby hotels such as Sentido can visit independently.
