How windy is Hurghada in summer and does wind affect swimming?

In July 2026 visitors noticed that the Red Sea promenade felt hotter than the area around their hotel, Arabesque, where a good breeze blows. How hot Hurghada feels depends noticeably on how exposed a spot is to the wind.

In July visitors noted that one day was very hot because there was no wind, while the day before had been very comfortable thanks to it — it all depends on the wind. How the heat feels: in late June 2026 a visitor wrote that thanks to the wind the heat is easy to handle — the air is dry, there is no humidity, everything dries instantly, it is great in the shade, the sun is scorching, and evenings are not stuffy. In July others added that the real scorching heat starts around noon.

But because of strong wind, long swims felt cold and getting out of the water into the wind was genuinely chilly.
