Are beachfront hotels in Hurghada noisy at night because of entertainment and beach discos?

Light, unobtrusive music plays by the pool and in the relaxation area near the beach bar, and one guest said it does not disturb relaxation. Music at the neighboring Pyramisa hotel was reported to be considerably louder.

An entertainment programme is held in the amphitheatre every evening at about 9:15pm. During the day, beach animators invite guests to yoga, bocce and dancing.

Evenings begin with instrumental performances such as flute, guitar, saxophone or violin, followed by live music from 8:00pm. Beach activities are held daily from 8:30pm, starting with children’s entertainment and then activities for adults.

According to one review, the regular evening disco on the upper level was rather subdued and not especially noisy. About once a week, a disco was held on the middle level, with better music and more opportunity to dance.

On Wednesdays there is an evening beach party with a show and music. There are also daily evening amphitheatre performances, such as oriental dancing, acrobatics and singing, plus a children’s disco.

At Flamingo bar, live music or recorded music starts around 9:45pm and dancing is possible until about 11:00pm; the volume is reduced afterwards. Dance Club and Harry’s bar stay open until 2:00am, although they may be quiet.

A foam disco may be held on the beach during the day for both children and adults, rather than only as an evening event. It was especially popular with children.

Another guest reported that at their hotel the music is unobtrusive and quiet — nothing loud or shouting. It only gets louder briefly during pool animation events. Twice a week at 4:00pm there's live music at the beach bar with fairly good musicians singing and playing.

At one hotel a beach disco happened only once in 15 days, otherwise it was a standard program (karaoke, guess-the-tune). The guest noted the main nightlife action is concentrated at the nearby Dreams hotel, which is much livelier.

One traveler reported that near Majestic hotel there was a concert that lasted all night, with loud music blasting from 10pm to 5am, making sleep impossible for nearby guests. Overall, entertainment in the area was described as average: morning water aerobics by the pool, evening shows (skits, concerts, karaoke) that are usually short.

At some Hurghada beachfront resorts, disco music can continue until 4:00 am. This suits guests who want nightlife, but rooms close to the beach may be unsuitable for light sleepers.

Daytime dancing and entertainment may take place around the pool as well as on the beach. If daytime quiet matters, ask the hotel for the pool-animation schedule and request a building away from the pool.
