TL;DR
Travelers recommend at least 10 nights in Hurghada if you want both beach time and excursions. Six nights is widely considered too short; 12–14 days is a more comfortable stay.
Set aside a full day for Dendera and Luxor: the drive to Dendera takes roughly 4–4.5 hours with an early departure, followed by about one more hour to Luxor. These sites are usually combined in one excursion.
Plan at least 10 nights if you want to add excursions; a six-night package can end just as you are settling into the resort.
A 12–14-day holiday is considered more comfortable. One traveler who stayed 12 days still felt that an extra couple of days would have helped.
For an October stay at Seagull Hotel, a six-night booking was being extended to 10–14 days to leave time for more than just the beach.
As a price reference, a 10-night Hurghada package for two with Biblio-Globus cost about RUB 219,000 when booked in late May, including a specific flight selection.
Another reference price was RUB 188,000 for two people on a 10-night Biblio-Globus package the previous year.
