Is it too hot for kids to visit the Giza Pyramids and Luxor in summer/fall — what's the heat like on day trips from Hurghada?

TL;DR
Kids handle the heat fine even in summer — at Giza there's a breeze and A/C shuttle buses, while Luxor's Valley of the Kings is hotter but golf carts take you close to the tombs. Bring water, a hat, and a hand fan or mini fan.
Went to Cairo yesterday with teenagers — the heat was manageable, not critical. The tour bus toilet stays locked (to avoid odor), but drivers make regular rest stops along the route.
Traveled with kids aged 6 and 8: to Luxor in April, to the pyramids at the peak of summer in August. Surprisingly, Luxor in April felt hotter than Cairo in August, though both were tolerable.
Between the tombs in the Valley of the Kings the sun is intense, but golf carts drive you right up to the site, leaving only a short walk on foot. Kids handled it well.
For comfort in the heat, bring plenty of water, a hat, sun protection, and a hand fan to cool off inside the stuffy tomb chambers.
All tour buses have air conditioning. At the Giza pyramid complex there's a nice breeze, and A/C shuttle buses circulate around the site, making it fairly comfortable outdoors.
Inside the pyramid itself it's extremely stuffy, almost sauna-like — without a hand fan or a mini portable fan it's tough to endure.
