TL;DR
Pyramisa has a lively reef with turtles, rays, octopus, and dolphins at dawn. Miramar's beach has little marine life — head to Snorkel (Snupy) Island instead.
Miramar's beach has almost no marine life near shore. Le Meridien next door regularly has turtles swimming along the rope line. For snorkeling with wildlife from Miramar, head to Snupy (Snorkel) Island.
Pyramisa has one of the better reefs along the Hurghada shoreline — a mix of live and dead sections, but rich in wildlife: moray eels, rays, squid, octopus, and turtles. Dolphins appear at dawn. Stonefish and cone snails are also present for the adventurous. Pyramisa is currently priced similarly to Seagull hotel.
Pyramisa's beach stands out among Hurghada hotels — unlike Gravity (which has a very long pontoon and the sea recedes far at low tide), the water stays close to shore year-round.
