How do hotel towel systems work at Sharm el-Sheikh resorts — pool vs beach?

Guest tip: around 10am a queue forms at the beach towel counter, while the pool towel counter is free at the same time — faster to grab a towel there instead.

At some Jaz hotels, towels are not handed out separately at the beach or pool: they are kept in the room in a dedicated bag, guests carry them to the beach themselves, and then bring the wet towels back. To get fresh towels, you hang the towel bag on the door hook and staff replace them later.

Sun loungers are plentiful both at the beach and pool throughout the day — morning, afternoon and evening. Large chairs have also been added, so there is no shortage of seating.

Some guests received two towels at once — one for the beach and one for the pool. The bigger challenge is actually getting back into your room after the beach, as queues can be long.

Towels at the pool and beach are issued and returned separately, each with a card deposit. Taking a pool towel to the beach may get a comment from staff initially, but they usually stop enforcing it. The card is returned when you hand back the towel at the end of the day.

There's no need to stress about beach spots in the morning — after lunch the crowd thins out and loungers free up. If the beach is full, the pool area usually has space. Fighting over spots just ruins the holiday.
