Which building/block to request at an all-inclusive hotel in Sharm El Sheikh — main building or bungalows?

TL;DR
Ask for a room in the Main Building near reception — that's considered lucky; bungalows are usually less convenient. With a "standard room" booking, getting a ground-floor room in the main building may require a small tip at check-in.
Not all bungalow-type buildings are bad — one decent option is a three-story block located to the left of the main building.
Construction noise from behind the hotel fence is audible but not too disruptive if your building is located farther from that boundary.
At check-in, staff check your paid room category — if it's a "standard room", getting a ground-floor room in the main building without a small tip to the front desk may not happen.
The building matters more than the floor: getting placed in the Main Building (where the reception is) is considered lucky, while a bungalow room is seen as a less desirable option.
