For a mid-July trip with kids, sightseeing in the city is nearly impossible due to the heat. The Sani resort has a larger and more varied beach and waterpark with spacious grounds. Sigala feels more intimate and well-kept, but its beach is very small.

Sentido hotel offers better comfort and service overall, though the rooms are further from the beach. In February this is not an issue since there is no extreme heat and the walk is manageable.
